During the progress of brass instruments and the betterment of diverse natural scale sound producing the term of natural musical instruments appeared. There were no valve instruments, that is why such musical instruments could produce only natural scale. It was the age when guilds of trumpeters began to appear. At that age 2 brotherhoods of pipers dwelled: martial trumpeters who played martial hymns and chambers trumpeters that played in courts.

People created valve gear only at the very beginning of the nineteenth century. It strictly transformed the technique of playing and heightened the possibility of brass instruments. The crown that was included to the basic pipe transformed the form of musical instruments and lowered the pitch.
